DRAIN SEAWATER
COOLING SYSTEM
In cold temperatures or before long-term
storage, be sure to drain the seawater
from the cooling system.
1. Put a pan under the seawater drain
cocks.
2. Loosen the drain cock at the side of the
thermostat cover and drain the water
from the inside.
3. Loosen the three bolts holding the side
cover (Figure 1, (7)) of the seawater
pump. Remove the cover and drain the
seawater from the pump body
(Figure 1, (4)). Reinstall the cover and
retighten the bolts when finished.

4. Close the drain cock.
RETURNING THE ENGINE
TO SERVICE
1. Replace the oil and the oil filter before
running the engine.
2. Supply fuel if the fuel in the fuel tank
was removed, and prime the fuel
system.
3. Operate the engine at idle speed for 1
minute.
4. Check fluid levels and check engine for
leaks.
